Extension of the tenure of Professor Jonah followed what many attribute to his exceptional and unparalleled achievements during his four year tenure as the director of the Centre and his overall contributions in the development of the centre
Under Prof Jonah’s leadership, CERT has become a hub for cutting-edge energy research, producing impactful outcomes that benefit Nigeria’s energy sector. His focus on renewable energy solutions has positioned ABU Zaria as a key player in Nigeria’s quest for sustainable energy.
Prof Jonah has spearheaded numerous research projects at CERT, fostering collaborations with national and international partners. These partnerships have enhanced the centre’s research capabilities and contributed to Nigeria’s energy development goals.
The VC’s decision to extend Prof Jonah’s tenure is seen as a vote of confidence in his leadership and the progress of CERT under his guidance. Colleagues describe Prof Jonah as a driving force behind the centre’s growth and innovations.
