The Pro-chancellor, Administration, Mewar International University, Kuchikau, Nasarawa State, Engineer Abubakar Bello, has welcomed 487 newly matriculated students of the University.
He also thanked their parents for encouraging their children and wards, or for sending them to the Mewar International University.
The Pro-chancellor, in his welcome address, today, during the Institution’s 5th matriculation ceremony said, “I congratulate every single student seated here, earning a place in this great institution. You have worked hard to get here, and today you officially become a member of the Mewar International University academic family.”
He urged the students to seize the opportunity ahead, adding: “My dear students, the future belongs to those who work for it today. The world is waiting for your ideas, your solutions and your leadership. Make the most of this opportunity. Be disciplined in conduct, bold in vision, and steadfast in character.”
To parents and guardians, the Pro-chancellor said: “To our parents and guardians, we deeply appreciate your trust in Mewar International University. Your encouragement and guidance remain vital to the success of these students. We assure you of our unwavering commitment to providing a safe, supportive and intellectually stimulating environment where your children can thrive.”
He concluded with a warm welcome: “I welcome you wholeheartedly to Mewar International University. May your stay here be filled with learning, growth and outstanding achievements. I wish you success in your academic endeavours.”
The newly admitted students were distributed across various faculties, including the Faculty of Sciences with 58 in Computer Science, 94 in Cyber Security, 53 in Software Engineering, and 34 in Biotechnology.
The Faculty of Management and Social Sciences admitted 14 into Public Administration, 16 into Entrepreneurship, 27 into International Relations, 21 into Accounting, 6 into Procurement, 5 into Political Science, 6 into Sociology, 4 into Banking and Finance, and 12 into Economics. Additionally, 50 students were admitted into the Faculty of Law.
The ceremony formally integrates the new students into the university community as they commence their academic journey.
