• Resource Forum of The Islamic Movement Congratulates Leader

Leading Nigeria’s revered Shiite Cleric and leader of the country’s Islamic Movement, Sheikh Ibraheem Yaqoub, El-zakzaky has been conferred with the Prestigious Imam Khomeini Wold Award in the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The award, presented on December 17, 2025, in a grand ceremony in Tehran, was in recognition of Sheikh El-Zakzaky’s unwavering dedication to justice, his principled defense of the downtrodden, and his enduring role as a proponent of Imam Ruhullah Khomeini’s revolutionary ideology.
Following this historic and unprecedented development the Resource Forum of the Islamic Movement congratulated their leader, Nigeria, and the entire Islamic Movement on this distinguished honor, describing it as a powerful affirmation of Zakzaky’s lifelong mission devoted to Allah, the Ummah, and the oppressed.
A statement by the Resource Forum signed by its National Coordinator, Professor Abdullahi Danladi, said the Sheikh’s struggle represents a living discourse on Islamic revivalism, total and unconditional resistance to oppression, and the reconstruction of Muslim identity in the face of adversity. “His work has been a beacon of hope for generations seeking justice and dignity”, he added.
The Imam Khomeini World Award situates Zakzaky among leading contemporary Muslim intellectual-activists whose lives reflect the synthesis of knowledge and action. His leadership has inspired countless individuals to stand against tyranny and oppression.
The award ceremony in Iran was a recognition of Sheikh Zakzaky’s global impact, with representatives from various Muslim organizations attending to honor his contributions. The Islamic Movement’s resilience and sacrifices were acknowledged as a key factor in Zakzaky’s recognition.
Sheikh Zakzaky is celebrated as a symbol of unyielding faith, a teacher, and a spiritual guide for generations. His commitment to justice and dignity has earned him widespread respect across the Muslim world.
The Resource Forum’s congratulatory message emphasized Zakzaky’s role in promoting Imam Khomeini’s vision of justice, spirituality, and resistance to oppression. The award is seen as validation of the Islamic Movement’s intellectual depth and moral clarity.

Professor Abdullahi Danladi, on behalf of The Resource Forum of the Islamic Movement, prayed for Zakzaky’s continued guidance and protection, asking Allah to grant him the strength to remain firm on the path of steadfastness.
The Imam Khomeini World Award is a renewed motivation for the global struggle against oppression, reminding the world that Allah never allows the sacrifices of the steadfast to be lost.
